For each scan you make, you can choose whether to: * store the original scanned values together with the scanner profile * convert the input to sRGB and save without profile I don't have a grayscale ICC profile, so I didn't bother entering it. This is about when mine went. Thank you very much.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and XSane. However, we didn't solve the fault of the CMS conversion so I'll mark this Post as Closed. If you're trying to create physically calibrated images with this scanner, then you'll need to find an ICC profile somewhere or make your own. XSane worked one time only, before error message appeared. Reboot and re-add the scanner. So assuming it will cure the problem, the question is what do I do with it ?Any help most welcome. I get this error message: Error during CMS conversion.
xsane uses little cms for the necessary transforms. Note that for me, this profile doesn't have to be accurate at all as I don't scan in grayscale for now. It appears that when it starts, xsane tries to do something with all the input profiles.
