i can save it on a disk and use it when asked. I had spent about a whole day trying to figure out why this damn Windows XP Home kept giving me the ASMS error. But since it will not recognize the drive it cannot boot from disc.

when i partitioned the hd I deleted Windows vista and put xp in its place on C using ntfs not quick version My frustration level is high right now. clean the cd\dvd burner, Hardware replacement, new disk and a way to check if your original media doesnt work properly.
